\"In the past, our facility had attempted to \u201con the job\u201d train surgical technicians. This process included our own training materials and hands-on training. Admittedly we had a dismal success rate. Due to a shortage of available surgical techs, we were leaning that way again. Before we ventured on that path, Erin, of Stat605, contacted us asking if we had any interest in an online program. That was the best thing that could have happened. We developed a relationship with Erin and developed an official Apprenticeship. Stat605 gave them the coursework they needed, and we gave them the hands-on. We currently have two students in the program, and they rave about the close attention they get from Erin. Going into this program I had my worries if I could even study anymore, not to mention having the ability to take tests. This has been a very positive experience.
